OUR MISSION

The mission of the WYO W.E.S.T. Warrior Foundation is to provide a place with events and a setting where the healing process can naturally occur amongst Veterans, Warriors, First Responders, LEO and Gold Star Families.

Best WEEKEND EVEr

The Wyo W.E.S.T. (Warriors Empowered Standing Together) Warrior Foundation hosts a unique event every Labor Day weekend in Sheridan, Wyoming.

Each year, up to 40 veterans participate in this event, embarking on a journey of healing, camaraderie, and lasting friendships. We create an environment where the healing process naturally occurs for Veterans, Warriors, First Responders, and Gold Star Families.

The weekend is packed with activities such as chopper shooting, a pistol range, long-distance shooting, trap shooting, rappelling, and the Redneck Olympics at The Little Wolf Ranch. Participants also enjoy a day at Eaton’s Ranch, the oldest dude ranch in America, filled with trail rides, guided fly fishing, and a fantastic lunch. Sunday culminates with attending Don King Days, the only fenceless rodeo in the world.

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, 100% of the funds raised go directly to the event. This covers plane tickets, accommodations, meals, vehicle rentals, ammunition, helicopter rental, and more, at no cost to the attendees. We conduct a thorough vetting process, prioritizing those in need.

Join us in making a difference & showing our gratitude to those who have given so much.

Our foundation is committed to honoring and supporting those who have sacrificed for our safety and freedom. Every aspect of our event is meticulously planned to ensure a memorable and impactful experience for our attendees.

From the breathtaking scenery of Sheridan, Wyoming, to the thoughtfully curated activities, we aim to provide a sanctuary where our heroes can find peace, strength, and renewed purpose.

  • Colonel Gregory Gadson, Veteran & Event Ambassador

“WYO West is truly a special and unique veterans service organization that integrates the community with the distinct spirit of eastern Wyoming and all it has to offer, honoring our goal, our families, and the tremendous sacrifice of veterans from all our nation’s wars. Through the town of Sheridan and its surrounding communities, WYO West has built a veteran community of sacrifice. There are very few events I look forward to, but this gathering in Sheridan is one I truly cherish. WYO West is no accident—it is the compassionate leaders of this Sheridan community who have helped so many warriors and their families heal.”

  • Christie Lemm, Gold Star Family

“I'm still overwhelmed with gratitude and emotion as I reflect on the Wyoming West Warriors Foundation's Best Weekend Ever, which my children and I had the privilege of attending over Labor Day weekend. As a Gold Star Family, it's not often that we feel truly understood and supported. But this weekend was different. Surrounded by fellow patriots who have served, suffered, and continue to sacrifice, we felt a deep sense of belonging and appreciation.

The weekend was an unforgettable adventure, filled with shooting, fishing, horseback riding, and camaraderie. Yet, it was the connections we made that truly left an indelible mark on our hearts. I extend my sincerest gratitude to the entire board and the incredible volunteers who worked tirelessly to provide us with the Best Weekend Ever. Your selflessness, kindness, and generosity have made a lasting impact on our lives.

Thank you for honoring our fallen hero Joseph Lemm and for providing a safe haven for us to heal, connect, and remember. We will forever be grateful.”

  • M.C. Ross Munro, US Navy (R)

“The first time I attended Wyo W.E.S.T. was under the false premise that I would be a volunteer. Little did I realize that I was showing up as an attendee.I trusted, leaned in, and let go, and I had a life-changing weekend.

I learned that the truths I held onto so tightly were, in fact, cheap lies. The invisible wounds I had denied hurt my life and family, but through Wyo W.E.S.T., I could let go, grow, and move forward instead of backsliding into a world of silence and anger.”

Our Valued Partners & Affiliations

The WYO WEST Warrior Foundation is proud to work alongside exceptional organizations that share our commitment to honoring and supporting our nation's heroes. Our partnerships amplify our impact and enable us to create meaningful experiences for veterans and their families.

Tunnels to Towers Foundation

At the heart of our annual event's success stands the Tunnels to Towers Foundation, a steadfast supporter whose generous funding makes our mission possible. Born from the sacrifice of firefighter Stephen Siller, who laid down his life on September 11th, Tunnels to Towers embodies the spirit of service and sacrifice that we strive to honor. Their unwavering commitment to supporting first responders, veterans, and their families aligns perfectly with our mission, enabling us to create impactful experiences that celebrate and support our warriors.

Dream Flights

Every year, our weekend is made extraordinary by our partnership with Dream Flights, an organization that brings unique joy to our veterans through the gift of flight. Dream Flights operates restored Boeing Stearman biplanes — the same aircraft used to train many military aviators during World War II. These flights offer our veterans more than just a journey through the clouds; they provide a powerful connection to their service years and create unforgettable moments that honor their sacrifices. The sight of our veterans taking to the skies in these historic aircraft has become a cherished highlight of our annual gatherings.
